# How to buy membership tokens in-app on Livetree

Membership tokens give you access to exclusive content and discounts. You can also get a fraction of your favorite creators' earnings and make proposals that determine how your favorite creator’s collective is governed as a collective member. You can buy membership tokens in-app by following this simple steps

Step 1: Go to your profile on the app

Step 2: Search for the collective you’d like to get the membership token by typing the collective name in the “Find friend or collective name” field on your profile and hit the arrow sign

Step 3: Hit “Get Membership” button on the collective profile page

Step 4: Select how many membership coins you would like to buy by increasing the number of diamonds, and hit “Get collective membership coins”. Note that 200 diamonds = 1 token.
